Welcome to Michigan

We didn't hit snow until Illinois and even there, it was just on the side of the road.  But almost as soon as we crossed over into Michigan, it started falling out of the sky AND there was a strong wind blowing the snow on the ground into the air.  We crawled the last 30 miles to Grand Rapids.
It is SO COLD!  When the wind blows, the chill factor temp is below zero.  So we are only leaving the motel room when Teaz needs to potty or to take her to the vet for progesterone tests.
Poor car probably thinks it's back in Sweden ...

Off to Michigan

Today we set out for the frozen north!  I plan for it to take three days and am leaving early in case there is a problem with the weather on the way.  I will probably hit snow in Flagstaff and may not get out of it until we return home.  ;-)  So, I'm posting this picture to remind me of what home looks like.

A new start (hopefully!)

If anyone is left reading this blog, you will notice that there haven't been any posts since Proxy finished her OTCh last spring.  We've still been busy - took a whack at finishing Proxy's MH and gave up on that.  Got Teaz's CDX and two legs on her JH.  Got a BN and RN on Rapid and two legs on his CD.

New start (hopefully!) is that Teaz is in season and I am setting off for Michigan on Monday to breed her to Rhino - GCh Podunk's Better Days Ahead, CDX, WCQ, UWC, MH, MHU, HOF ***

I am really hoping to get a black male pup - it's been two years since I've had a male Curly and I'm not sure how I've managed to live without one.  To put the odds of a litter up as high as possible, I am driving Teaz out to Michigan since she has never been on a plane, and so we can get a natural breeding instead of rolling the dice on AI.  Which I don't tend to have much luck with ...

Anyway, if we get pups and if I get my boy, I am going to use this blog as sort of a baby book.  I'm going to post monthly stacked photos, as well as updates on training and travels.

Everyone think puppies!!!  ;-)
