A new title

We went down to Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center for three trials, where Sketch really shone.  He went three for three legs to earn his RA, earning a perfect score and First in the class each time.

On Saturday Teaz was entered to try to get a UDX leg - she only got half ...  ;-)

Suede was there Friday - this is the best picture I got of her!

We did an HRC Started test today and other than some less than stellar line manners, Sketch did very well and earned his third leg.  I will see if I can find another test at some point so he won't have to wait a year to get that last leg!

 

A good weekend

Sketcher had a good weekend at the ASCA trials.  I went ahead and put him in Rally on Saturday since we were there, and he earned his first two RN legs with First both times and High Other Breed.  He was actually High in Trial, but apparently in Rally that only goes to the Aussies.  Or not the Novice dogs?  Dunno - I should read the rules some day!

Suede also had a go at Rally at the pm trial and actually earned a leg, with Third out of three!

Sunday Sketch finished his CD in the am trial with a less than stellar performance.  He had a 200 except for the off lead heeling when he got something up his nose and required two corrections.  He ended up with Second (only two Q'd) and High Other Breed.

He made up for it at the pm trial by winning with a 199, gaining High in Trial and High Other Breed.  Here he is with all the loot from the weekend.

Afterwards he and Suede had a nice run amok.

More training

His time has come!

Today, Teaz finished her OTCh.  Finally.  Took her over two years and many many retrains, but she did it.  So now, I can finally focus on Sketch!

Sketch celebrated, tho he didn't know why  ;-)

 
 

Arizona!

The first three trial weekends are in the Phoenix area and despite it being a desert, we've been dodging rain!  Not that it bothers Sketch any but I'm not really up for playing in a downpour.  So we only went out between showers.

 

 Which results in a dirty nose.

 

So we did a little playing in the van.
