A trip to Bozeman
Sketcher went to Bozeman, Montana so Teaz could show in four trials and the both of them could show in the runthru on Saturday afternoon. Teaz earned six more OTCh points and won two HITs and they both did well at the runthru. They also got to swim ...

a show dog, at least at a match
Sketch went to a match yesterday and did quite well in a Novice runthru, tho we didn't get to do the stays because they conflicted with Teaz in Utility. We also did breed for practice, and he won Second in the Sporting group, out of five whole dogs.
He doesn't look particularly impressed ... ;-)

more field fun
Sketcher ran in an HRC Started test today and earned his second leg. Sid came along to watch her first hunt test and got some pictures.
Waiting in the holding blind, semi patiently ...
Off to the first water mark.

Success
Saturday, both Teaz and Sketcher passed the Started test, earning their first legs. Today only Sketch is entered and so far he has aced the land test, so we only have two more water marks left. He is really enjoying this fetch stuff!
Throw it already!!
Waiting semi-patiently to do the water marks on Sunday.

Fieldwork is Fun!
We are in Arizona, attending a NAHRA trial this weekend. Teaz is only entered once, to see what I have to work on before next weekend when she had BETTER finish her JH. Sketch is entered both days, just because! Today we did a little training, since we have done next to nothing since last fall. Sketcher approved ...

Catching up
Sketcher has been traveling and training, but won't be ready to do any more AKC obedience or rally for probably another nine months at least. He has discovered he is male and is having a lot of trouble with focus and impulse control, so he needs to get out of the teenage stage before he does any off lead trialing. We will give ASCA and UKC obedience/rally a try and see how that goes, plus work on his WCX. I also need to focus on getting his mom's OTCh finished (only 44 more points to go!) and Rapid's UD as I'm hoping by this fall I will be able to show more at home.
Until then, he'll ride along with Teaz and destroy the toys she wins ...
and relax at home!
