Puppy in flowers

On the way home from the specialty, I think this was sort of near Flagstaff.

More specialty

Sketcher got to do docking diving and really enjoyed it!  He got better with each go and his personal best was (I think) seven or eight feet.

CCRCA specialty

Sketcher is having a great time at the specialty.  The first event was the WC/X/Q test where he got to fetch his first duck, from land.

He liked it so much he tried to take it into his crate!  Fortunately, he isn't coordinated enough yet to jump in carrying a duck.

He also got to do some water retrieves and almost got the first WC water mark as set up dog.  Which I was happy with since it was his first bird in the water and first mark that long.

Tomorrow is the Upland test so I'm sure we'll get to have more fun there!

Four months old!

Time is really flying, but on the other hand it's hard to believe he is only four months old as he is so big for my line!  ;-)

On the road!

We have been at an obedience trial somewhere every weekend recently, and for the near future, so Sketcher has been getting a lot of travel experience.  Just recently, he's decided that going into his crate in the van isn't all it's cracked up to be, which means I need to focus more on getting him play time.  Last weekend we were doing conformation as well with Teaz, so we couldn't get dirty but this weekend we are off to Great Falls for "only" obedience, so I plan to take time to let them just run and have a good time on the way up.  Plus we will be camped on the grounds and there is plenty of room there to run amok - here is a pic from a previous trip.  This was before the trailer, and the van.  I was working on Dodger's OTCh so this must have been 2010.

Dodger in front, my third OTCh and Proxy (Sketch's grandmother), my fourth OTCh.  Teaz will be number five and Sketch will be either number six or seven, depending on what Rapid can accomplish and when.  That's the plan anyway ;-)  for now, he is just a happy puppy!

Three months old!

One of these days I'm going to learn to hold the head parallel to the camera (or judge).  Sigh.  You'd think after all the dogs I've shown, I'd know how to do this.
